Our specialist female physiotherapist can advise you and treat musculoskeletal problems during and after pregnancy.
She can treat bladder and bowel problems including stress incontinence. Women are particularly prone to incontinence after childbirth, as their pelvic floor muscles have been weakened. Specific exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor can help and electrotherapy can stimulate the muscles if you cannot contract them yourself. Biofeedback can also tell you how the muscles are working.
Our physiotherapist can also give advice on the use of TENS machines during labour. |
