The Saebo Arm Training Programme using the dynamic SaeboFlex® splint has been shown to help individuals improve their ability in the affected arm and maximise arm and hand function after a stroke. The latest research shows that the majority of stroke survivors end up not using their involved arm. This can lead to soft tissue shortening, pain and obvious frustration.

Stroke survivors who are most appropriate for this programme are those who are unable to open their hands due to spasticity and those who can extend their fingers but are too weak to use them further.

To start the programme you will need to be able to:

  • Stand for 5 minutes
  • Understand and follow instructions
  • Communicate and provide feedback
  • Have some movement of shoulder and elbow

If you have been discharged from therapy because you have reached a plateau consider SaeboFlex®.
